Christmas would not be Christmas without family! We are so blessed to have a big family who support and love us. Both the Despain and Grimstead families love and care about one another. We are happy with each others successes and sad during our struggles. We love our families and all that they teach us. This year Christmas was especially great. I don't know if it was partly because now our family is complete with Emmitt or if it was because Ryan was able to spend the whole time in Utah with. Maybe it was all the snow that the boys had to plow. I just know that it was AMAZING. Thank you to everyone for making it that way.
Candi insisted that we take a picture of all the family together on Christmas. I am so so glad that she did! Just looking at it brings back wonderful memories.

Now I know why Josh is so liked. You may not be able to see this as well in the picture as in real life but notice the three babies around him. He sat and fed them oranges to their hearts content.

Ryan was so excited to find a Real Salt Lake scarf under the tree for him and a matching one for Casey. Now they can "fit in" when they go to games together.

Wally and Happy were even delighted with their Present, raw hide bones. They were trying to open them the night before, but after being told "no" so many times they figured Papa needed to open them.
The kids received a special book from Daddy for whenever he is away at work or anywhere else. It is a book of him and the fun things they have done together, along with special notes Ryan wrote to each of them.
We took turns going around the room telling each other why Christmas is special to each of us and the reasons we are thankful. Papa got a special Dart Gun that we used to shoot each other when our turn was complete. I think it is definitely a new family tradition.
