While Ryan is on a trip I find that it is best to keep myself busy so I don't feel so lonely. I find that visiting family really helps pass the time. :) Over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend I went with Papa and Grandma up to Josh's house. We had a big slumber party which the kids loved and keep asking to do it again.
Papa also arranged for me and mom to go over and visit with Great Aunt Gerry. She is Papa's mom's sister. I was so excited to meet her because there is so much that we don't know about Papa's side of the family. His mom died quite young and none of us ever had a chance to meet her.
Mom and I spent a couple hours visiting and gaining lots of history. A lot of the history was hard to hear because their life was very hard and wasn't the best situation for Papa to grow up. It is amazing he is the person he is today!
I took tons of video and once I find some time I will be putting it on DVD and making copies:) Uncle Bob (Gerry's Husband) has done a lot of family history and gave us a copy of everything that I am eternally grateful for!
