Analeigh Despain

It was February 18th at around 5am when we arrived at the hospital for our planned C-Section to welcome our third child and first girl into the world. The boys stayed the night before at Jody Barbosa's house so we could get to the hospital on time. After dropping off the boys we went out and celebrated our 6th anniversary at the Outback Steak House. Our anniversary is on the 21st but we knew that we would be too busy with a baby and family to make a day of it. After getting home the night before we tried to sleep but we were too anxious for our little girl to arrive.

Doesn't Summer look good at 5am, for being spaghetti sauce. This is the last picture I took of her before she changed into the sexy yet drafty hospital gown.

Our baby girl was born at 7:27 am on the 18th of February in the Sierra Vista Hospital. As our smallest baby so far she only weighed 7.5 pounds and was 19inches long. Perfect.

Just like her brothers she was born with lots of dark hair. She did suprise us with all those curls. Mommy loved brushing her hair and playing with those curls in the hospital.

Finally after about an hour Summer got to hold her. We still hadn't picked a name for her so we just called her "baby girl" for the first few hours.

Aiden and Erik couldn't wait to see their new baby sister. First thing Aiden said was, "Ah, she's cute." Erik didn't know what to expect at first and it took him a while to get warmed up to her.

We had thought up a few names that we liked but were not set on any until we talked to Aiden. I picked up Aiden and Erik after he came home from school to take them to the hospital to see baby sister again. When his bus driver, Ms. Cindi, asked him about the baby Aiden told her that we named baby sister Anwee (Analeigh). That settled it for us.

Here is our first family picture. Everyone was so happy.

On Friday the 20th we were able to take Mommy and Analeigh home. Here is Analeigh in her homecoming outfit. We let the boys pick out her clothes to come home in. Out of all the outfits the boys picked out this one because they thought she would like the bee on her shirt.

Ready to come home.
