Lake Powell

This year for Memorial Day weekend, we decided we would take a little trip to Lake Powell with some of the Despain Family. We had a blast, even though the weather didn't cooperate the whole time. We all managed to get a pretty good tan (or burn depending on how you want to look at it:).

Lake Powell was awesome.

The wind was brutal at times. This is our tent being blown about. Luckily no one lost anything.

Beautiful picture of Analeigh that Patricia captured.

Chillin' out with Anweee.

Tori, Kelsea, and Analeigh

The boys loved riding the "little boats."

We all navigated to a beautiful little inlet where we were the only ones around.

Lake Powell has amazing rock formations, and cliffs for jumping!

Zoom! Zoom!

My three strong boys:)

Cliff jumping is terrifying. It really wasn't that high, but as you can tell from the look on Summer's face she thought she was dying.

Aiden learning to float.

Proof that my kids have more of Summer's skin tone than mine.

Do I look fat in this thing. I just don't think it's my color.

Waiting...

We went out on the boat with all the boys to play with the tubes, and managed to suck the rope to the tube up into the engine. We sat on the lake until someone stopped, and they pulled us into camp. We received a few really big waves that put lots of water in the bottom of the boat so Halen, Cortlin, and Aster were put to work getting it out.

The nice people that pulled us back to shore.

Snack time.

I love my girls so much.

Aiden and Erik were always close to the water. Even when it was cold.

Everyone helped gather wood for the fire. Erik worked the hardest.

Years of boy scouting taught me that a Tee Pee in a pit was the best thing for this kind of weather. Where did I put that lighter?

Guarding the fire from the wind.

Erik still thinks we need more wood.

Driving home we tried to catch up on as much sleep as possible. Keeping up with the Grandparents can really take it out of you. Lay off the Isagenix Grandma and Grandpa.
