About a month ago Aiden told us at the dinner table that his tooth was hurting and that he thought it was loose. He had been complaining that he hadn't lost a tooth yet, like his friend Michael. Ryan placed his finger on the tooth and jumped when it wiggled. Aiden became very excite. He wanted to lose a tooth very badly so he could have his name put on the chart at school for those who lost their first tooth in the Kindergarten class.
He wiggled his tooth for a month and asked is it loose enough yet to pull. He wanted Papa to pull it during the Lake Powell camp this coming week but he was too excited. We started to see his new tooth growing in behind it and wanted it out as soon as possible in hopes to insure his teeth grew in correctly.
Last Sunday morning, May 16th, after he woke up, Ryan was seeing if it was ready to come out yet and he pulled right out. Aiden was so happy that he was going to be able to put it under his pillow for the Toothfairy and, most importantly, show his toothless grin to everyone at school!
He told us that the Toothfairy would bring him $50.00 for his tooth because it was "the most special of all teeth." I told him the "Toothfairy would go broke if each tooth was worth $50.00." He then began to barter and thought that $8.00 would be sufficient. The Toothfairy brought him a dollar and he was thrilled.
It is crazy to think that my little boy isn't so little anymore. Still we try to enjoy every moment since these particular moments won't last forever.
