Ward Christmas Party

Ryan and I were the Co-Ward activity Chairman's (until they released us a few weeks ago). We were in charge of the ward Christmas party. It was crazy! How I wish we were back in small little Eureka ward. We had almost 400 people at the party. We made it very simple. We had a nice dinner of ham, potatoes, salad, rolls, and yummy  potluck desserts. We have professional caterers,  Dan and Connie Fink, in our ward that helped out a ton (pretty much did the whole thing). Our program was put on by the primary. We took the script from the Summers' family Christmas party, changed it just a little, and voila! The primary sang some of the songs and the congregation sang some. Ryan read from Luke (it was suppose to be someone else but they didn't show up until it was to late). We even had Santa visit. We have the sweetest little couple in the ward. Sis. Strong is from Peru and Bro. Strong is American. Bro. Strong plays Santa every year just for fun, and she was his little helper.
All in all I think the party went very well. Though I don't know what anyone else thought about it. I am happy I won't have to worry about doing another one!

Ani wasn't to sure about sitting on Santa's lap. She just knew he had candy canes and she wanted one.
Erik was really nervous to see Santa and he didn't even want to talk to him at all, but once he was up there he did better. At least he let Santa put his arm around him for a picture.
Aiden was very excited about Santa. He could hardly wait. He was so worried about getting his picture that he forgot to tell him what he wanted. Thank goodness we saw Santa a few more times so he could tell him what he wanted.

Emmitt was suppose to play baby Jesus but when it came time for it he was being fussy. Which is weird because Emmitt is always good. At least we had a doll.
Some of the Primary singing. Notice Kaulin, he is the boy standing a little ways away from the rest of the group on the right. He has a very strong (loud) singing voice. Often times it sounds like Kaulin and his backup singers. I love Kaulin. He never fails to get up and bare his testimony each month in Sacrament.
