The truth about my birthday...It sucked. Originally we were going to be in Arizona for my birthday and Grandma and Papa Grimstead were going to come down, spend my birthday and the weekend with us in Arizona, then on Monday me and the kids, along with Papa and Grandma, would drive back to Utah while Ryan stayed in Arizona to work. Well Grandpa Summers went to the hospital just a few days before my birthday and I didn't want mom and dad coming down when things were so uncertain with him. So instead we used the long weekend to go to Las Vegas with the Despain family and spend the weekend at Mom and Dad Despain's Condo. At the end of the weekend I continued to Utah with the kids and Ryan returned to Arizona with his parents. Vegas was good and once we got there it was nice but leading up to it was stressful and miserable. Because of us leaving a few days early the house was no where near as ready as I wanted it to be. We left most of our stuff in Arizona for Papa to come get later. The house was a complete disaster, and we had it on the market so I didn't want to leave it a complete mess, not to mention I didn't want Ryan to have to worry about it. Ry and I took different cars to Phoenix so Ryan would have a car when he returned with his parents and I drove up seperate. I stayed longer than Ry and the kids in Sierra Vista so I could clean up a little more. I will never forget and I am soooo grateful for my friend Sally Talbot who came by the house. Even though she was completely busy she came to help me. She stayed and helped me get off. Even though she had her own 4 kids to worry about. She even came back later and cleaned my bathrooms and made them shine. Ryan said when he got back the bathrooms and especially the showers looked great. Sally made my day so much better.
So for the most part of the day stunk but there were nice parts in it too.
