On September 15th the Elementary School went on a field trip to the State Fair. I was able to go with the 2nd grade class to help keep track of them.

We watched the sea lions perform some awesome tricks.
They had an entire section for the kids on where food comes from. They started on a farm. They pretended to milk a cow and sheer a sheep. They had to plant seeds and harvest the fruits and vegetables. Then they had to drive a tractor and do several different things. It ended with them turning in their milk, veggies, and wool to receive money that they then spent at the store to buy a real apple or other little snack. Such a good idea to show the kids all that is involved in growing the food and things that they buy in the store.
All the kids thought this robot was particularly cool. We couldn't get him to stop for a picture.
