Jace's Baby Blessing was on New Year's day and we needed to be in Bountiful by 10:30 a.m. Needless to say, we did not celebrate in the traditional manner the night before, but went to bed to get plenty of sleep for the one and a half hour drive to the church. It was still a great way to start the New Year, seeing family and going to church.
This year we made some goals as a family and we wanted to write them down here to see how well we did by the end of the year.
1. We want to visit one family member every month.
2. We want to spend one day a month doing something educational as a family (visiting a museum, zoo, nature trip, etc...).
3. No buying store bought sweets. All sweets need to be homemade.
4. Work on one part of the house each month doing repairs or upgrades.
5. Visiting the temple once a month.
6. Have a monthly date night.
So far we have been doing great. The kids are really excited about going places as a family to learn and the house work is getting done. These goals also fall right into our family mission statement.
