Happy St. Patricks Day

We haven't done a whole lot to celebrate St. Patrick's day in the past. Our kids have never cared to much about it, but this year was completely different. The boys loved setting up little traps to try and catch little leprechauns and and seeing what the morning would bring. Erik thought up a trap to  bait them with a cup of gold coins. When they climb on the table to get the coins they would hit the chair, held up by the ball, which would then crash to the floor and wake them up so they could catch the little guy. Aiden thought if they put a cup of coins under a pillow being held up in the air by some string the pillow  would fall when the leprechaun tried to get the coins and would get stuck under the pillow. They set up a few other traps but these were the most creative.
All the kids arose early the next morning to see if they caught anything. To their dismay they had not, but the coins were all gone. The leprechauns had left green kisses on their foreheads, a rainbow breakfast of apples, oranges, bananas, green waffles, blue yogurt, and purple leprechaun juice. They also found a treasure hunt to follow and a fun bingo game with candy at the end.
Aiden was especially festive and insisted that he needed to do his hair "leprechaun like."
