It is official Ryan and I have begun Soccer in Eureka! They have had a couple years of soccer but really it has been come run up and down the field a couple times a week. This year we will be playing other teams. We will play against Santaquin and Genola. I am certain we will probably get our butts kicked but the kids need to learn how to play by playing people who know how to play. The boys are very excited by the prospect of playing people outside of Eureka.
Along with the kick off of real soccer teams the Elks also wanted to have a soccer shoot-out. Pretty much like the hoop shoot only instead of trying to make the most free throw shots the kids need to try to make the most goals. We didn't have very many people come to participate but the kids still had fun. Aiden and Erik both took 1st place in their age groups!
