Lately Ani has started talking more and she loves to sing and dance. Some of my favorite moments are when she is play by herself, or at the piano, and she is singing over and over again, "Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me" from the song "Gethsemene". Another favorite is, "Happy Birthday to you." Even now as I write this post she is standing next to me singing, "happy birthday to me, happy birthday to Ani." But if I look at her she gets shy and slinks away.
This year Ani had a very big and exciting birthday. Because Analeigh's birthday fell on President's day weekend we decided to venture down to the Bean Life Science Museum on BYU campus. Michi, Christopher and Nono joined us. The kids loved it! They especially liked the reptile exhibit where they got to pet a snake. Aiden was picked to help hold a Snake that had been taxidermied to see how long it was. Analeigh was the most excited about petting the snake and didn't want to end her turn.
After the Museum we went to the pet store for Aiden and Erik. They have been saving the money they have earned from doing extra chores to buy a hamster. They finally had enough so we took them to the little shop. There was only one normal hamster but it was super jumpy. The boys did like two of the small Dwarf Hamsters and quickly fell in love with Milly and Lily (we made sure we got 2 girls we don't want any babies). Even Ani and Emmitt were excited about Milly and Lily. We had to place the cage in a place that all four kids could see it for the ride home:)
We went over to Michi's after the pet shop where Michi made Analeigh a cute double layer heart cake that Ani liked because it was pink with heart sprinkles. Of course Analeigh had to get dressed back up in her princess dress again.
