Due to the many fires around Utah this summer they have closed the camp ground up Payson canyon until the fire close is under control. We had to change our plans for the Grimstead Family Campout. Papa and Grandma decided to have the campout at their house, and we would have a few day outings as a family.
One thing that Papa wanted to do was go to temple square and the new City Creek Center in downtown Salt Lake. So we all loaded up in our cars and took a trip. We ate at the food court and City Creek, watched the Joseph Smith movie on temple square, followed by letting the kids play at the Book of Mormon exhibit in the Church History museum. Once again little Emmitt wanted to wear the fun skirt and not the vest. Though once he got it on he was a bit embarrassed.
We returned to City Creek and let the kids play on the splash pad for a little while before returning home. The kids were all worn out and had a great time. The adults were tired out and decided it is really hard to take such a big group to somewhere like temple square and stay all together.
