Ryan had to attend a convention in Las Vegas for work the first week of October so we decided to go as a family. Luckily Grandpa Rick and Grandma Susy with Nona in tow were able to come up for the weekend as well. We were also able to celebrate Grandpa Rick's Birthday. It was so much fun to be able to spend the weekend with them. We miss having them as close as when we lived in Arizona.
The kids loved seeing a couple light shows and different things in a few of the hotels. We also took Aiden, Erik, and Emmitt to Fremont street, something we will NEVER do again! They also enjoyed playing in the pool at Grandpa's Hideout (what they call Grandpa's Vegas Condo). The water was a bit cold to my liking but the kids never seem to mind.
On the final day of the kids and I being in Vegas we went to the temple and walked around. It is such an amazing contrast between Las Vegas as the world knows it and the Las Vegas Temple on the hill. The feeling is completely different and I love being able to share such special spiritual things with our kids.
