Papa and Grandma Grimstead came to visit us for two weeks when little Emmitt was born and we enjoyed every minute of it. We tried to keep them busy while they were here. It is a good thing Papa had his truck and Camper to work on so he didn't get too bored. Grandma was busy the entire time trying to keep track of Aiden, Erik, and especially Analeigh. We loved having them here and it was so hard to see them go, but we know they missed Eureka and the rest of the family, not to mention their own bed!

Papa teaching Aiden and Erik how to wind their Chiliean tops that Grandma Despain brought them from Chile when they went to pick Casey up on his mission. The strings were really long though. Poor Erik wound up with a bruise in the middle of his forehead from when Papa was trying to teach them how to release the top and make it spin.

The boys really tired Grandma out playing games, dancing, reading books, and running around like crazy little boys! It was such a nice break for me. Grandma even took Erik on his date that he earned while they were here. He was so excited to be able to go out with just him and Grandma.
Desert Museum
We all went to the Desert Museum in Tucson Arizona the Saturday before Papa and Mom left. Papa really wanted to be able to see some Havalina's. The museum was huge!!! It is all outside and 105 degree weather doesn't make for as much fun as we would have liked. We did see a lot of cool things, but unfortunately no havalinas. Little Emmitt was getting way to hot to spend any more time in the heat. He has a cold wet rag on his little head (just like Papa when he is working) to help cool him down.

They had this really cool Cave that you could go through and had several things on display to look at in the caverns. Here are some bat ears that everyone had to try on to see how a bat hears.

Erik was a brave little boy and tried them on. Aiden didn't want to.

At first Grandma was the only person brave enough to go in a special vein of the cave, followed by Ryan.

After they came out at another spot in the Cave the boys decided they just had to see what was in there!

Even Analeigh wanted to see everything but was stuck in the stroller most of the time.

Aiden and Erik overlooking the great Desert.

Ryan is not a fan of snakes. He was the only one to touch the snake they had available for petting. I was impressed.
We went to a show on animals and habitats. The kiddos thought it was pretty cool when they kept seeing different animals walk across the stage, like a porcupine, skunk, pelican, and many others. We also learned about Vaquitas which is a type of dolphin that only lives in the Sea of Cortez.

The boys decided that they did want to pet this lizard but it was fun to look at... from a distance.
Tombstone
Ryan got off work early on Friday because it was his last day working for Oberon so we were able to take a trip over to Tombstone. Papa and Grandma wanted to see
"The town that's to tough to die."

Taking pictures on the street of Tombstone. I am glad that it was later in the day so the heat was bearable.

I love my Papa and Mom!!!

We went to a Dinner show while in Tombstone. Ryan and I had never been to one, though we have been to Tombstone several times. This is the first time we actually sat down to eat and enjoy one of the reinactments of the old wild west.

As we were driving out of town we saw three deer just meandering across the street. We stopped so Papa could get a picture.
