It's Halloween

This year for Halloween we let all the the kids (except Emmitt) choose what they wanted to be. We pulled up all sorts of different costumes on the internet and let them pick. Aiden saw this Alien Encounter costume and decided he wanted to be it because it was the most scary! Erik wanted to be Batman, but he insisted that it needed to be the blue batman. Since I couldn't find a blue batman in his size we had to make his costume. He loved going to Joann's to pick out all the things we would need to make his very special costume. For Analeigh we put all sorts of different things on one page, there was a princess, a ballerina, a butterfly, and several other things. She really liked the ladybug. We asked her about 5 times, each time rewording the question, to make sure she understood. She pointed right to the ladybug every time. So a bug was born:) Emmitt... I kind of forgot about needing a costume so I made him a hat, added some ears and the boys said he looked like a polar bear...works for me:)

My little polar bear with my Knight in shining armor!

Every year we go to the Valley View Elementary school Halloween Carnival done by the PTO. The kids love being able to run around with their friends, and eat the candy and junk that they have at the different booths.
Aiden LOVED the haunted house and just kept going through it over and over all night long. He was also really excited for the costume contest. We need to work on his humility. He kept saying "I know I am going to win because my costume is the coolest". Then when he did win he said "see Mom I told you mine was better than everyone else!" I am thrilled that he loved his costume and that it turned out so well but he could be a little quieter about it.

Ani and Erik didn't last long at the party. It was really big and loud with a ton of people. Erik enjoyed decorating and eating cookies, along with making popcorn hands, but he was ready to go home after about 30mins. Ryan took Erik, Ani, and Emmitt home while Aiden and I stayed.

On Saturday we went to the Ward Trunk-or-Treat. We took the boys friend Matthew with us. I made him a really quick ghost costume out of some fabric that I had since he didn't have a costume yet.

What a bunch!
